Border police foiled an attempted terror attack in Jerusalem Thursday morning.

During an arrest operation in the Shuafat neighborhood in northeastern Jerusalem, Arab residents attempted to intervene on behalf of a suspect wanted by Israeli authorities.

One resident brandishing a knife reportedly lunged at the officers but was shot and wounded before he could reach his intended victims.
