Following reports to police, officers in the northern Israeli city of Afula arrested three Palestinians on Wednesday evening who were found carrying large knives.

After local residents gave police a precise description of the suspects, they conducted a thorough search of the area and located the three young men who fit the description.

During searches, 23-centimeter-long (9 inches) butcher knives were found on the three suspects – two minors and an adult – all residents of Jenin in Samaria. 

Police arrested the suspects and are further investigating the matter.
