A rocket was fired Sunday evening from Gaza with the intention of striking within Israel, but fell short and landing inside of the Gaza Strip.

The rocket did not come close enough to set off Red Alert sirens in nearby communities.

It is not yet known if the rocket caused any casualties or damage to Gazans.

Channel 1 television reported Sunday that Hamas has confiscated three long-range rockers that were being prepared by Islamic Jihad for launching against Tel Aviv.
